Glittery Crayon Frame

Teachers, sitters, and after-school caregivers, are you looking for fun gifts that your kids can make for their families? It has to be easy for little hands, colorful, quick to make, and most of all, inexpensive! Have the kids bring a photo from home (picture day is coming up!) and make a fun frame out of crayons. You can make an ornament of the pictures, or glue magnets to the back.

Shop at Dollar Tree – Here’s What You’ll Need:

  • Poster Board
  • Wallet-Sized Photo
  • One-Hole Punch
  • Ribbon
  • Crayons
  • Craft Glue
  • Glitter
  • Glue
  • Paintbrush
  • Paper Plate
  • Scissors

Easy Step-by-Step Directions:

  1. Trim a piece of poster board about ¾" larger than the wallet-sized photo. Center and glue the photo to the poster board and snip the corners. Punch holes in the top of the poster board and tie a ribbon loop to it (see image).
  2. Glue 8 crayons around the edges of the photo, creating a frame.
  3. Paint craft glue over the photo to seal it.
  4. On a paper plate, mix a little glitter with craft glue and paint generously on the crayons.
