7-Layer Taco Dip

Cinco de Mayo is a fun holiday to gather your friends and enjoy some delicious Mexican-inspired cuisine. Tacos are essential to this celebration, and this layered taco dip includes the traditional ingredients for feeding a crowd! With minimal preparation, this dip can even be prepared and refrigerated ahead of time.

Shop at Dollar Tree – Here’s What You’ll Need:

  • 1lb. Lean Ground Beef
  • 1 Tablespoon Taco Seasoning
  • 1 Cup Sour Cream
  • 16-oz. Can Refried Beans
  • 16-oz. Jar Salsa
  • 1 Cup Chopped Romaine Lettuce
  • 1 Cup Shredded Mexican Cheese
  • 12-oz. Can Sliced Black Olives
  • 9x12" Serving Dish
  • Bag of Tortilla Chips for Scooping and Serving
  • Medium Sauce Pan
  • 1 Tablespoon Vegetable or Olive Oil
  • Wooden Spoon

Easy Step-by-Step Directions:

  1. Heat a medium sauce pan on the stove over medium heat. Add a tablespoon of vegetable or olive oil. Add ground beef and taco seasoning to the pan and stir until completely browned and cooked through.
  2. Layer the browned meat evenly in the bottom of a 9x12" dish.
  3. Spread the following ingredients, layer by layer, on top of the browned meat: sour cream, then refried beans, and then salsa.
  4. Place the chopped romaine in an even layer on top of the salsa.
  5. Sprinkle the shredded cheese evenly over the romaine layer.
  6. And lastly, place the olives evenly on top of the cheese layer.
  7. Serve immediately with tortilla chips or store covered in the refrigerator!
