Shop at Dollar Tree – Here's What You'll Need:

For the Dough:

  • ½ Cup Warm Water
  • 2¼ Teaspoons Quick Rise Yeast
  • ¼ Cup + 1 Tablespoon Sugar
  • 2½ Cups Pancake Mix, Divided
  • ¼ Cup Melted Butter

For the Filling:

  • 1/3 Cup Seedless Fruit Jam
  • 3 Tablespoons Sugar
  • 2 Teaspoons Ground Cinnamon

For the Glaze:

  • 1 Cup Powdered Sugar
  • ½ Teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • Splash of Milk

For Preparation:

  • Measuring Cup
  • Mixing Bowls
  • Muffin Pan
  • Cooking Spray
  • Parchment Paper
  • Rolling Pin
  • Knife

Step-by-Step Directions:

  1. In a small bowl, mix warm water, yeast, and 1 tablespoon of sugar, and set aside.
  2. In a large bowl, mix 2 cups of pancake mix, ¼ cup sugar, and melted butter.
  3. Slowly pour yeast mixture into the batter and stir well to get rid of the lumps. Stir in remaining ½ cup of pancake mix.
  4. Pour into greased bowl, cover, and refrigerate 12 hours or overnight.
  5. After refrigerated, preheat oven to 375°.
  6. Line each cup of a muffin pan with parchment paper.
  7. Sprinkle flour onto a countertop and roll out the chilled dough into a rectangle. Cut off any uneven edges (see image #1).
  8. Spread jam evenly over the dough, then sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon. Roll into a log and cut into 2" pieces (see image #2).
  9. Place each roll into one cup of a muffin pan and bake 15-20 minutes or until edges start to brown slightly. Remove from oven (see image #3).
  10. For the glaze, mix powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until your desired consistency is reached. Drizzle over cinnamon rolls and serve warm.

Fun Tip:

  • For a more traditional cinnamon roll recipe, simply omit the fruit spread. You can also add raisins.
