Dying Easter eggs doesn’t need to be messy... or expensive! Visit your local Dollar Tree store to pick up a box of crayons and a carton of eggs for a fun family activity. After boiling the eggs, place them on a plate to cool and then dry them off with a paper towel. (Note: Since the eggs are still a little warm, this activity is ideal for older kids or children supervised by an adult.)
Create unique designs by coloring on the eggs' shell with crayons. The warmth of the egg will melt the crayon wax, making it easy to layer and blend different colors. We created multicolored patterns on our eggs by layering one color on top of the other and using your fingers to smudge the shades together.
