Fresh salads are a great and healthy lunch when you're on the go. Pack up this delicious, easy-to-grab-and-store Chef Salad in a Jar, filled with protein and layered with fresh vegetables, chick peas, boiled egg, salami, and cheese. This salad is hearty, tasty, nutritious, and makes for a great picnic lunch at the beach or park! 

Shop at Dollar Tree – Here's What You'll Need:

  • 1 Hard-Boiled Egg
  • 1 Cucumber
  • 1 Cup Chopped Romaine Lettuce
  • ¼ Cup Chopped Cherry Tomatoes
  • ¼ Cup Drained and Rinsed Chick Peas
  • ¼ Cup Chopped Salami
  • ¼ Cup Crumbled Feta Cheese
  • Dressing of Choice
  • Paper Towels
  • Knife

Easy Step-by-Step Directions:

  1. Rinse your fresh vegetables, boil an egg, and gather your other ingredients (see image #1).
  2. Chop fresh romaine lettuce and place into the bottom of the jar. 
  3. Dice up cherry tomatoes and a cucumber, and layer on top of the romaine. 
  4. Drain and rinse canned chick peas. Pat them dry with a paper towel, then layer on top of tomatoes. 
  5. Dice salami into one-inch pieces and layer on top of the chickpeas. 
  6. Chop one boiled egg and layer on top of the salami.
  7. Sprinkle the cheese and pour the dressing on top of the egg, and then seal the jar. 
  8. Store in the refrigerator, pack your lunch box, and go!
