Easter Egg Centerpieces

Looking for ways to make Easter dinner special for friends and family? Or maybe you're looking for a festive Easter decoration? Here’s a fun centerpiece for your dinner table, or you can use it as an alternative to an Easter basket and fill the plastic eggs with wrapped candies for friends or kids who have “outgrown” the Easter Bunny.

Shop at Dollar Tree – Here’s What You’ll Need:

  • Plastic Easter Eggs
  • Faux Flower Stems
  • Wire Cutters
  • Floral Foam
  • Easter Grass or Basket Shreds
  • Pretty Container
  • Ribbon (optional)
  • Glue
  • Candy (optional)

Easy Step-by-Step Directions:

  1. Cut all of the stems off of the flower bush. (Note: You can use the flower heads for another project, such as the Flower Frame on this month’s Value Seekers Club page.)
  2. Insert floral foam into your container. Conceal the foam by covering it with a layer of Easter grass or basket shreds.
  3. Inspect the bottoms of your plastic eggs. If there are holes, poke the floral stems into one of those holes. If there are no holes, you can create one using a craft knife (if you plan to fill the eggs with wrapped candy or other treats, do that first). If the egg is too loose, add a little dab of glue.
  4. Push the stems into the floral foam, just like a typical flower arrangement. Add in basket shreds to cover any bare spots and embellish with ribbon.
