Map Magnets

Do you have printed pictures or local destination maps from a recent trip or vacation? Keep your special memories on display year-round on your office cabinets, classroom boards, or your home refrigerator with personalized Map Magnets! Follow a few simple steps to create your own magnetic memento.

Shop at Dollar Tree – Here’s What You’ll Need:

  • Adhesive Magnetic Sheet or Individual Magnets
  • Mod Podge® or Craft Sealant
  • Printed Photos or Maps
  • Scissors

Easy Step-by-Step Directions:

  1. If you are using an adhesive magnet sheet, peel off the paper, exposing the sticky side (see image #1).
  2. Press the sticky side down onto the underside of a map or photo. Leave the map in the original rectangular shape or trace a stencil shape that commemorates your vacation. For example, cut out a heart for a honeymoon or an apple shape for a trip to New York City (see image #2). Flip over the map and trim excess paper with scissors (see image #3).
  3. If using an individual magnet, spread the Mod Podge® or craft sealant directly onto the non-magnetic side. Apply the underside of the map to the sealant side of the magnet and let dry completely. Trim map edges and tuck around the sides of the magnet, applying additional Mod Podge where needed (see image #4).
  4. Hang your vacation photos on display with their adjoining Map Magnets.
